Can't beat a bit of Plaid/Tartan

 Hello all,

It is the 1st March 2024 and I'm here to share my card for our challenge over at Sparkles Christmas

Debbie chose the theme of: Plaid/Tartan

I looked through my papers and found this tartan paper and had to use my new bow die from 'The Greetery' that I treated myself to with my Christmas money.

So please join in with us as we get ready to prepare ourselves for the next festive season. The teamies have created some beauties to inspire you.

Challenges:

Hope you are all doing well. It's so nice to see all the spring flowers popping up isn't it. We have had a few warm days too. It's been a steady month here just pottering. I've met up with friends a couple of times too which was nice, been pampered at my Daughers' nail salon which I love. also bought some new blinds for the 2 front bedrooms as the vertical ones I had up had mould on them. Husband has treated the problem so fingers crossed. The chest freezer broke too so a new one arrived this week.An expensive month all round but needs must. the freezer we had was my Grandma's so it was a fair age.

Take care and thanks for popping by.

Big hugs Debbie xx

Crafty catz weekly-challenge-664-Anything goes

I've been taking it easy this last month after being poorly. It's taken some time to build myself back up. Nice to be back out for walkies. Went out shopping for the first time in 5 weeks with my daughter to Hull. It was time for a splurge in Home Bargains, B&M then a nice Mocha in Costa and a catch up. I'm slowly trying to have a sort out in my craft room/spare room as I am wanting to get some proper storage to make life easier for me and to make the space more usable. ...We'll get there I'm sure.

Take care everyone and thank you for popping by and supporting me.

Winter Time

 Hello all,

I'm here to wish you a Happy New Year dear friends!! I hope you've a special festive season whether you like a quiet one or a full house.

It is the 1st January 2024 and I'm here to share my card for our challenge over at Sparkles Christmas

The theme I chose is: 'Winter Wonderland'

So please join in with us as we get ready to prepare ourselves for the next festive season or cards that are Winter wishes like mine.

I used a few new crafty bits that I've acquired in the last month - Lisa Horton free mistletoe die, Lisa Horton free embossing folder, spiral flower and a few bits from my crafty stash.

Challenges:

It was a quiet Christmas for us as I went down with a cold and a chest infection which affects my asthma. My daughter and boyfriend came here to open pressies in the morning then we were supposed to go for dinner there, then they would come here boxing day but I was too poorly and didn't want to spread it around. so we got a lovely plateful of dinner from them delivered later in the day and we will have a meal together when I am better. Just 1 of those things. I've gone down with a water infection now so the lovely people at 111 prescribed me some antibiotics on Saturday so I will soon be on the mend.

Hope you've all had a lovely time and been spoilt rotten. It's just nice to have quality time together isn't it. My dog Hunter has been walked by my lovely friend Carol so at least he's getting out. I am 1 lucky lady.
Take care everyone and thank you for popping by and supporting me.

Red, Red, Robin .....

Hi all,

It's the 1st December, so time for a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge.

Helen has chosen the theme of:

                                       'Christmas Animals or Birds'

I chose Christmas birds and my robin stamps from Clarity stamps fitted the bill perfectly.I watercoloured them which was easier than I thought and really enjoyed it too.

Hope you all pop over to Sparkles and see what the DT have created and join in with us too.

It's been a quiet month here really. I've been shopping in Hull a couple of times and did abit more Christmas shopping as well as treating myself ha ha... Well why not... I have been picking up a friends' newspaper each morning and dropping it off while walking Hunter. She's been laid up after a foot operation, so it's been nice to help out when we can.

It was my birthday on Tuesday so I had a swim, jacuzzi, sauna then a nice cuppa and cake with my daughter Shannen on Sunday as a treat then on Tuesday Hubby took me out for a cuppa too. Spoilt as always.

Stay cosy my lovely friends and thank you for popping by.

Lots of stockings

  Hi all,

It's the 1st November and time for a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge.

Zowie has chosen the theme of:

'Christmas Stockings'

I was scratching my head abit for this challenge as I wanted to do something different. I remembered I had a tree stencil from Clarity and a stocking stamp set from Inky Doodles and the rest is history. I had such fun. Can't beat getting inky.
Hope you all pop over to Sparkles and see what the DT have created and join in with us too.
Challenges:

I took myself up to Scotland for a long weekend last month and stayed with my Dad.His son and daughter in law were up too from Bristol,so it was the first time we've all got together since my Mum's funeral. Really enjoyed spending time with them all. They have a black labrador called Sully who I enjoyed meeting and having fun with. He was a big lad compared to Hunter my staffie.

Take care and as always Thank you for popping by to see me and for your lovely comments.

Flowers and Foliage

  Hi all,

It's the 1st October and time for a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge.

Melanie has chosen the theme of:

'Christmas flowers/foliage'

Believe it or not this card didn't take a long time to make. I remembered I'd got some beautiful stamps with my recent Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine and wow the quality of the stamps are great. I grabbed 2 pieces of card and got to work after being inspired by a card I saw in the magazine. Watercolouring suits these stamps and I had such fun creating this card.

We'd love to see you over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge

as all the design team have created some inspiring creations to give you a great start to your Christmas crafting.

Challenges:

Allsorts challenge week-748-Autumn Trees, Leaves and Berries and Anything Goes

Di's digi designs challenge falling-leaves

I haven't done alot this month due to being laid up with my naughty ankles. Then I got bit by something and reacted badly so a trip to the hospital for antibiotics and a week of ice packs and my leg elevated.... It's been a strange month. I have managed to meet up with a couple of friends and they've come to me which helped. Nice to get crafting yesterday though.

Hope you're all well and enjoying the weather when it's good to us.

Take care and as always Thank you for popping by to see me.

Snowman building

 Hi all,

It's the 1st September and time for a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge.

Caz has chosen the theme of:

'Build me a Snowman'

I found a background that I'd inked previously with a freebie magazine stencil, Die cut the letters SNOW and embossed snowflakes onto it using an embossing folder. Then I used a Hunkydory freebie snowman parts and sentiment which cut perfectly. Ink pads were used to colour each element so quite a quick card. Fun too.

We'd love to see you over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge

as all the teamies have created some inspiring creations to give you a great start to your Christmas crafting.

Challenges:

abc christmas challenge christmas-challenges-p-q-r-are-for....(quick card)

christmas with the cutie challenge-no-73-theme something-snowy

Here's hoping you're all keeping well. All fine here, just been pottering in the garden, keeping an eye on the greenhouse, a little crafting and a few lunches out, catching up with friends. Perfect.

Take care.

Big hugs Debs x
