Tilda card

Hi all,

The medication is starting to kick in so starting to feel an improvement at last with my chest.  So I  felt like a play  with my crafty stuff yesterday and I wanted to try out a new distress ink - vintage photo that I'd bought recently.  I quite like using my cut and dry foam with the blending tool to do some - I'm a newbie so need more practice but had great fun and liked the softened edges.  My dining table showed utter destruction but hey ho that's what crafting is all about.  This was the best photo I'm afraid, shame about the whirlie in the background!!!!!!!
I used the papers from cosmo cricket paper pack, Vintage Tilda stamp, kanban sentiment stamp, buttons, mirror board, distress ink, promarkers and card candy. I used the following sketch from Ellephantastic.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Ellephantastic June challenge - Sketch
Pear tree designs challenge 55 -stamp something
My mums craft shop challenge 12 -something old something new (old stamp, new card candy and buttons).
Do you stack up - challenge 26 - squares (have used papers cut into squares).

I forgot to say I came in the top 3 in the Get funky and craft challenge, so got another blinkie.
I also found out that I won some tickets for the Summer Crafting show at Doncaster in July and last but no mean least I won some blog candy from the lovely Brenda of Stamping Fantasies, she is one talented and generous lady. So chuffed. Have a lovely day.

A Clean & Simple card using Tatty Teddy!

Hi,

Well I'm still barking like a dog  and keeping the doctors busy - calling them out again yesterday -whoops!!  Asthma improved a little over the weekend but by Sunday night, Mon am right back down again.  So I've got more medication and feeling more with it today after a better nights sleep.  If I'm stuck in recuperationg and resting why not do some crafting!!! So I thought I'd have a little play with a clean and simple theme which I really enjoyed.
All I used was a piece of white card, corner punch, stazon ink, sakura pens and my freebie Tatty Teddy stamp free with Docrafts Creativity magazine.  A different style for me, have seen it around but never dared to have a go. We do like our papers don't we ladies!

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Moving along with the times challenge 104 -clean and simple scrapbook sisters card challenge - 41-Anything goes
pear tree designs challenge 55 - stamp something
oldie but a goodie challenge -anything goes

A card for a Special Dad

Hi,

That's me back from my lovely break in Scotland, the weather was gorgeous and I had lots of time to rest and recharge my batteries with my Mum and Sister.  Shame my cold progressed and by the time I arrived home had to get the Doctor out as my asthma was uncontrollable, needless to say I'm barking like a good un.... Nevermind! That's why this is my first posting for ages, while resting I've had chance to do some commenting so it's not all bad. Anyway here's a card I gave to my Dad for Father's day last week, he's a farmer so this card fitted him perfectly.
I used : La Pashe 'Remember When' decoupage sheet, red and green card, string and Dad sentiment.I've had these sheets for ages and decided to have a play.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
My mums craft shop challenge11-one-of -the -boys.
Dream valley challenge-9-fathers-day
A different type of card for me....
Have a lovely day.

A Summer's day!

Hi,

It's Sunday again... where do the days go.  Another quick post as I've got to get my Dad and Step-Dad's fathers day card done today as I'm going on a little break up to bonnie Scotland to stay with my Mum and see my Sister on Wednesday.  The train 's booked and I just have to sort the shopping etc for my hubby and daughter.  I come back on Sunday afternoon.  I can't wait!!!!!  Don't relish the organizing us girlies have to do before we go anyway - it's true the saying ' a woman's work is never done' .....
Also that's my baby girl finished all her GCSE exams and has officially left School.  I'm so proud of her to have reached this point.  It's the start of her life in the big wide world.  She's going to be working full time at a hotel cleaning the rooms until she starts college in September in Hull to do a Art and 3D design.  She loves drawing.
Right onto my card:

I used some free papers, LOTV cute square image, burgundy card, hunkydory sentiment, card candy, gems and die cut rolled flowers.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Lili of the valley thursday challenge 100 -anything goes
By the cute and girly challenge - in the garden
