Happy Valentines Day

Afternoon all,

How are we all today on this sunny Sunday? Well it's sunny here in East Riding of Yorkshire. Our dog Hunter is Sat sunbathing in the conservatory, Shamus is busy outside while I'm typing away here.

Happy Valentines Day to you all.

For my card today I used a stencil with a Tim Holtz ink and the stamps are Clearly besotted.

Have a lovely day whatever you're up to. Sending you all a big hug.
My sister and family are down from Aberdeen to visit for a few days so I've got my nephew Logan who's 15 coming for a sleepover tonight so that'll be fun. It'll be nice to spend some time with him.

I had a girl's day out yesterday with Shannen and my sister Karen. We had coffee out, a quick look in Next and H&M then lunch out. It was really fun. We looked at some new sofas as I've been wanting to replace ours for a while but I've not been well enough to look before.

Take care

Sitting here thinking of you....

Hi all,

How are we all doing today? Here's hoping it's a good day for you all.

It's time for a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow and it's my turn to choose the challenge theme which is:

'Anything Goes'

So why not join in with us and check out what the rest of the teamies have made. There is some fab inspiration from them too.

Thanks for popping by to see me. I've been having a few days of rest as I was out with my daughter at the weekend doing a bit of shopping at Lidl and B&M. I propelled myself around Lidl and I've been hurting ever since. I've pulled my arms, wrists and stomach area. I forget I'm not as able as I was before the op and chemo.... whoops. Silly aren't I.

Have a lovely day whatever you're up to.

Winter scene

Morning lovely crafters,

I've rejoined the other design team I belong to and it's the 1st of the month so
it's time for a new challenge over at Sparkles Forum Christmas. The lovely Jane has picked this months challenge, so without further ado she's chosen:

'A Winter Landscape'

I used an embossing folder and stamp set that came free with one of my 'Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine'
Our sponsor this month is  Fantastic Ribbons:
Why not get ahead with your christmas cards and join in with us. We'd love to see whatever you make. Make sure you pop over and see what the rest of the talented teamies have made.

Just a quick note to say my Oncologist appointment went okay on Tuesday. He just wanted to check if I had any side effects from my chemo which I haven't and he is sending me for a scan as I requested one.  I also had my ultrasound last Thursday which went well. Nothing was found which is brilliant news so I feel alot happier. I've only got the Asthma clinic this week then my bowel procedure on the 8th February. I'm getting there at long last.

Thanks for popping by and for all your lovely comments as always. It means such alot to me.

Flowery Monday

Hi all,
How was your weekend? I had a nice restful weekend and my friend Julia came over for a cuppa. She's also a  card maker so we always have lots to talk about.

Today I've been for my blood test and before I went I started to play with my ink and Clarity Stamp Chrysanthemum stencil. I had great fun. Hope you like it too.

That's all from me today lovely crafters. I have an appointment with my Oncologist tomorrow, I've not seen him since September so here's hoping he'll let me have a follow up scan without me having to set my hubby on him....ha ha. Enjoy the rest of your day. I'm going to decide what we are having for tea tonight. I am following the healthy eating plan from itv.com - Eat more, lose more on Lorraine. I last 4 lb last week so I am buzzing. I have lost half a stone in 3 weeks whoopee.... The chematherapy and steroids made me balloon in weight.

Thanks for popping by and all the lovely comments you've left me since I have returned to blogging. Bless you all.

New Baby card

Happy New Year dear friends, better late than never eh!!!!!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. It was a quiet time for us but a special time with family.

I can't believe my last post was in June. I've not been in blog land for a while so I'm trying to ease myself back in gently to see how I manage.

My chemotherapy finished at the end of September and I am slowly getting back to some normality. I should get my appointment this month with my oncologist to see if my Ovarian cancer has been treated.I want a scan just for my own piece of mind. My outlook is positive so I am determined this year will be a healthier and happier year. I would like to thank you all for hanging on in there with me as it's been a bumpy ride. My hair and eyebrows are growing back which I am totally blown away with, how quick that has happened. I have a short crop hairstyle. I am one lucky lady. Please be vigilant everyone and any worries get yourselves straight to the doctor. Life is too short.

Anyway onto 1 of the cards I made last year which I haven't managed to blog.

This is a card I made using a LOTV image as well as a little teddy image from a Polkadoodles cd rom

I'll be hopping around your blogs as soon as I can, so bear with me.

Long time no see!!

Hi lovely Crafty friends,

How are you all doing? Loving these sunny days, whether it's warm or not!

It's time I bit the bullet and share with you where I've been. As you all know when I last blogged in February I was undergoing a lot of tests and ill health. I kept filling up with fluid in my tummy which made me look 8 months pregnant. My wonderful GP was concerned that I could have a blood clot due to my chest pains that he wanted me admitted for tests. I wouldn't go that night but went the following day. I was told that day that I had Ovarian Cancer.I've undergone a full hysterectomy, appendix removed, a general good clear out.

I am one lucky lady as they removed all the cancer and it hasn't spread - phew. We've had many sleepless nights waiting for results, but now we are on the next step of the journey.

I start chemo next week for 6 sessions. 1 treatment every 3 weeks. I'll lose my hair and go through many symptoms but I am here, a tough cookie and so very lucky. I'd like to thank you all for your continued love and support.

I'd like to share with you a card I put together a month or so ago for a good friend of mine.Hubby had to be my Ebosser apprentice.... ha ha... Poor fella has had to take over so many household tasks.I couldn't have done so well without him, my daughter, my family and very close friends.Thank you...

I used a Crafter's Companion die that I won a while back, twine, charm and gems.

Apologies for not being able to leave you comments at the moment but I will still pop around for a peek when I can.

Thanks for popping by to see me and for being patient with me.

Hugs Debs x
